“Success as a therapist is not found in doing something for the client, but rather in being someone for the client”
-Ili Rivera Walker

I provide a therapeutic environment that is warm and supportive using my skills and sense of humor. I want you to feel safe and understood, because that helps create the steps needed in transforming your life. It is my goal to help you identify your strengths, so you can be your best self.

I have been a licensed social worker since 1991 when I received my masters from the University of Pennsylvania. I have successfully helped children, adolescents, adults, and families overcome anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, eating disorders, adjustment to illness, grief, divorce, self-image, gender issues, and general life transitions. My approach stems from combining
various modalities. I am trained in structural family therapy, CBT, and trauma. I have worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, crisis, school, hospital, and community settings, for many years at locations such as Philadelphia Child Guidance, The Renfrew Center, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Let’s start the journey together
