I recognized at an early age that I wanted to help others and learn more about the connection between the mind, body and behavior. I believe that change happens when you are given the support needed to draw on your own strengths and recognize your potential for growth and healing.
I received my master’s in social work from New York University and subsequently my LCSW. For the last 25 years I have worked in residential treatment facilities, partial hospitalization programs, outpatient therapy settings and community-based services as a behavior consultant. My experience as a therapist, supervisor and director in a clinical setting have provided me with the framework for understanding the need to meet someone where they are, drawing from a variety of methodology to create an individualized approach to treatment. I have filled my clinical toolbox working with children, adolescents, and adults with various emotional and mental health needs providing trauma informed care with a strength-based approach. I create a safe space to talk honestly without judgement while collaboratively working on strategies that empower you to achieve your personal goals.
