TESTIMONIALS

Madeline was key to our child’s recovery. It was a very difficult time for our family when we found out our child had eating disorder and depression. As a parent, I was clueless how to deal with the whole situation. Madeline held our hand all the way. We went through family based therapy and Madeline coached us, parents, on how we can effectively do our part especially through the most challenging phase. She met with us as a family and individually with my child on a regular basis. She was always available to answer any question we had and provided comforting words and advice when times got really tough. We don’t know how we would have navigated the whole experience without Madeline. We are very grateful for what she has done for our child and family.

I wholeheartedly recommend Madeline for anyone who is seeking counseling! The support and guidance I’ve received have been immeasurable. Madeline always provides a safe space for me to discuss my life’s hardships, both past and present, while guiding me towards solutions for the future. I can tell Madeline really listens and understands me, because she asks the perfect question and is always right on target. One of the things I love is that she always has a great literature recommendation to broaden my thinking. My sessions with Madeline have brought me so much self-esteem, self-compassion, and importantly empowerment. Highly recommend!

Madeline Rice has been working with me for just over a year. She has been an incredible resource for me, and her sessions have been eye opening. It is very difficult for me to let walls down and to trust a therapist. With Madeline, I connected with her almost immediately and felt very safe and comfortable to share the aspects of my life that were plaguing me my whole life. Madeline is incredibly intuitive, nurturing and yet has a strong side so I know I cannot BS her. What I love about her the most is that it is not the same old thing you would get at a cookie cutter therapy session…she is constantly reading and learning and evolving in the way she counsels and I love that about her. I feel that in the last year, I have faced demons that have existed most of my life and have remained pushed down. Madeline has helped me face these, deal with them head on, and has given me great hope that my future will be brighter. She is also the first person that I have trusted enough after 20 yrs of different therapists to seek out medication for my anxiety issues. And for that, I will be forever grateful. In sessions she has shared some of her own challenges that is very relatable and again, makes me trust her insight that much more. I still have a ways to go before I am done with therapy, but I am thankful to have Madeline in my corner.

Madeline has been my daughters therapist for many years. My daughter first went to Madeline at the age of 13 filled with anxiety & self esteem issues. Over the past 7 years Madeline has helped my daughter navigate through the very trying adolescent years & guided my husband & I as parents on how to deal with a very emotional child. Madeline has been instrumental in helping us as a family deal with loss, injury & abuse. I, as a parent, have spent time with Madeline one on one which has helped me to help my family have a better understanding of how we can learn to respect our differences and most importantly how to react to each other when emotions are high. Her unbiased counseling has made her office a safe place for us to speak freely & say the hard things that have needed to be said. I have referred friends and family members to Madeline over the years and will continue to do so. I highly recommend Madeline for her counseling services.

I leave every session with Madeline with fresh new insights that allow me to effectively move forward in my personal and professional life. Madeline has the ability to quickly zero in on the essence of what the problem is in a caring and personal way while maintaining a professional relationship. Madeline also effectively links information from prior sessions to create a comprehensive understanding of whatever you present to her that day. I have learned so much about myself and others behavior, have a significantly lower anxiety level now, a gratefulness, sense of peace, fulfillment and enjoyment that eluded me for many years. Thank you, Madeline!

I began seeing Madeline when I sunk into a severe depression after the death of my mother. I was not a believer in therapy but I knew I had to try something because I had become a danger to myself. The road was rocky because I was skeptical to say the least but I’m happy to say that I am in a much better place now. Not only did we address my depression…I have also developed skills to deal with the stressors that have plagued me my entire life. I am now a believer and encourage anyone who is struggling with life’s challenges to try therapy. Working with Madeline has been a major life changer for me.

I first started to see Madeline 24 years ago, as a child, because of multiple childhood traumas. Due to life circumstances out of my control as a minor, I was unable to continue working with her. Over the years, I reached out to other therapists, but could never find the comfort and trust level I had when I worked with Madeline at the age of 14. I decided to stop going to therapy. As time went on, I recognized that not working with anyone was detrimental to me as my childhood issues started to negatively impact my daily life. I decided that I needed to find Madeline and start working with her again.

It has been a few months now and through talk therapy and EMDR I have come to better understand myself, my feelings, and my reactions to certain situations. I’ve also come to understand and believe that things I thought were my fault for 24 years were not. With Madeline’s help I have started to release the shame.

Madeline and I continue to work on the issues that I brought to her, one at a time. Because she is compassionate, non-judgmental, and trustworthy it allows for this honest and vulnerable work to transpire. Madeline truly cares about helping her clients achieve their goals and overcoming issues that hold them back from living the life that they desire.

I was fortunate to have found Madeline years ago when I was a child to help me deal with my life circumstances. I am grateful to be able to work with her again as an adult. I look forward to continuing my work with Madeline to release the hold my past has on me so that I can live the happy and healthy life that I deserve. Thank you, Madeline!

I have been working with Madeline throughout various stages of my life. My experiences with her have been truly life changing, as I’ve navigated personal relationships, marriage, and motherhood. As life continues to be complicated, I feel the importance to continue learning how to cope with life challenges. Madeline’s supportive therapeutic techniques improve my emotional health. Therefore, strengthening my overall physical health. Our journey together has been an integral part of my continued growth into the best version of myself. Thank you Madeline for sharing your passion and knowledge with me. Your commitment to my personal goals has helped to shape the wife, mother, daughter, and friend that I am today. Wow, how can I capture the three years of support I got from Madeline? I don’t even know if I can capture it in words. I came to Philly four years ago thinking that I was “done with that therapy stuff.” The move to a new city with a new job proved to be too much. All the anxiety, my depression, and disordered eating came flooding back. I was drinking a ton and I simply didn’t want to get going each morning. I found Madeline’s site and knew she could provide me something different, support really rooted in the issues I’ve had around disordered eating and how that manifested everywhere. Since we began our work together, I stopped drinking, I have a stronger hold on healthy eating habits, and I’m living much more consciously. I know there is always more work to be done and everyone needs help sometimes. I can’t imagine where my life would be without Madeline.
